Message if you wanted to chrome or paint the inner headlight housing thats a good writup on how to get the headlights apart.

Pretty much exactly what i did, but instead of a heat gun i used a Hair dryer because the heat gun was melting my plastic in a few places.

And yes that glue is the stickyiest stuff know to man and you will get it all over everything you touch.

use WD-40 on a rag to clean it up, it works great, i also sprayed it in the seam where the housing meets the glass to breakdown the glue a bit.
